Rain Estrada, LPC

Rain Estrada (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from New Mexico State University where she also earned her BA in Psychology. Prior to working in outpatient counseling, she worked in hospital settings as a group therapist and as a crisis intervention specialist. Rain views people as the authors of their own lives, recognizing that the stories we tell about ourselves shape our identities, our behaviors, and our possibilities for the future.

Rain is committed to providing a compassionate and empowering therapeutic space where clients can grow into identities that promote healing, autonomy, and a flourishing sense of self. Rain takes an integrative approach to therapy, utilizing principles from Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR trained, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. She uses client-centered, feminist, and social justice frameworks to guide her work. Rain specializes in treating anxiety, depression, and trauma in addition to working with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.

“I not only support clients in personal growth but also help them explore how social and political factors shape their lives and experience, encouraging empowerment and social consciousness. I prioritize creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment where healing can unfold at a pace that feels right.”

Outside of being a therapist, Rain enjoys scenic drives on the gorge, art museums, and a good concert.
