Liz (she/her/hers pronouns) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. As a native of Cleveland, Ohio, she has lived the last twenty years in southern California and has recently moved to Portland. Liz has spent the last thirteen years in community mental health, working predominantly with adolescents and adults suffering from anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder.
In working with clients, Liz utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills, and Mindfulness. She feels many problems are exacerbated by loneliness, and that an examination of environmental factors in a client’s life may help to highlight options to reduce isolation and to make other positive changes. “Therapy, at its best, can be a pathway to Hope for those who see no way out of their darkness.”
In her spare time, Liz enjoys hiking in Portland’s beautiful parks with her family, listening to music, and making Irish recipes.
