25th Anniversary Celebration and Fundraiser

25th Anniversary 2011 was momentous year for The Northwest Catholic Counseling Center! In 1986 Sisters Barbara Kennedy, Sarah Deeby and Lisa Sheridan responded to a call from the community: where can people, especially those living in poverty or without health insurance, go for mental health care?

In those early years, there was no office and few staff. Client and counselor met in a borrowed room at a parish or a small space at a school.  Now there’s a permanent office, a staff of nearly 20, psychiatric medication management, workshops, and a thousand clients a year.

Thank you to those who were able to join us in marking this amazing milestone for the 25th Anniversary Celebration and Fundraiser - Compassionate Heart Awards. It was an evening of friends, laughter, a great selection of raffle prizes, and our three founding Sisters received the Compassionate Heart Award.
